About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Product Developer to join our team at Mindful Chef Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for developing recipes for our recipe box and owning our existing & new ranges across ready meals, smoothies, breakfasts and more.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent attention to detail, great communication skills, and a passion for overcoming challenges. If you are a passionate foodie with NPD experience and a track record of recipe creation, development & writing, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new healthy meal options that meet nutritional standards and dietary guidelines.
  • Formulate delicious recipes that adhere to cost and production constraints.
  • Oversee both the creation and improvement of the current range, aligning with new Marketplace plan and upcoming food trends.
  • Lead and manage any new categories we want to enter e.g. snacks, drinks, sauces, etc.
  • Collaborate with our in-house nutritionist to ensure our meals adhere to nutritional regulations.
  • Help develop ranges that hit our customer lead health goals e.g. High Fibre, Gut Health, Low Carb, etc.
  • Be aware of relevant trends and market research to support all sourcing and product development activities, conducting independent market research and trend analysis.

Requirements

  • Ambitious and unafraid to improve existing ranges and stretch the brand into new categories.
  • Fluency in stage and gate process with the flexibility to know how to fast track products/ranges if needed.
  • Understanding/experience of how to work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure swift delivery and on-time launches.
  • Knowledge of current food trends, particularly in the healthy sector.
  • In-depth food and ingredients knowledge.
