About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Mindful Chef. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and leading the design and development of complex initiatives.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will provide leadership, guidance, and expertise to the team, while spending at least half of your time writing code. You will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, conducting pairing sessions, and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about engineering, has a deep understanding of our technology stack, and is fluent in Ruby, JavaScript, and the Rails and React frameworks and ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide the engineering team in the design and development of complex initiatives.
  • Provide technical authority and mentorship to engineers within the team.
  • Take a hands-on approach to coding, writing critical components of the system.
  • Conduct pairing sessions and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
