Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our speech and language therapy services.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of speech and language disorders, including acquired brain injury, stroke, and neurodegenerative diseases. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide education and support to patients, families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat patients with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers
  • Contribute to the development of speech and language therapy services
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in speech and language therapy, with experience working with patients with a range of speech and language disorders. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
