Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team at Positive Futures Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing integrated Speech and Language Therapy services to students with complex communication needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement social communication groups for students, either directly or supervising groups run by education staff.
  • Conduct speech and language interventions as described in students' statutory documentation.
  • Administer baseline communication assessments for all students.
  • Write SMART targets for education plans and assess progress against these targets.
  • Lead training sessions for the education team on social communication.
  • Conduct a whole-school classroom language audit and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and implement individual communication programs, providing accessible guidelines for delivery by others.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Speech and Language Therapy, particularly with students with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with education staff.
  • Knowledge of social communication and language development.
