The Role: Solar Division Leader

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead the creation and management of our in-house solar division.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Oakdale Electrical Contractors as we expand our renewable energy offerings under our direct control.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the solar division, aligned with our overall goals.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for solar installations in residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of solar projects from inception to completion.
  • Build and manage a team of solar installation professionals, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in solar technology.
  • Research and secure eco and renewable energy grants, such as government incentives, subsidies, or local authority funding schemes, to support project development and client affordability.
  • Manage budgets, forecast revenues, and ensure the financial health of the solar division.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of solar technologies, installation processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with eco grants and renewable energy funding schemes, including knowledge of the application process, eligibility criteria, and maximising financial support for projects.
  • Experience in project management and leading teams.
  • Strong networking and partnership-building skills.
  • Ability to manage financials, including budgeting and forecasting.
