Conflicts Resolution Group at Goldman Sachs

The Conflicts Resolution Group (CRG) at Goldman Sachs plays a critical role in ensuring the firm's business activities align with its core values and regulatory requirements. As a CRG team member, you will be responsible for evaluating a wide range of business activities, including advisory, financing, and principal investing, to identify and manage actual or perceived conflicts of interest.

This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development and exposure to real-time internal decision-making around the firm's positioning with respect to live market opportunities.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities:
  • Review and initiate new checks, including coordinating with businesses to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
  • Conduct due diligence of business opportunities by considering the firm's current and historical assignments, positions, and economic exposures
  • Identify potential issues and report findings to the CRG
  • Monitor and update the status of previously cleared opportunities using information from public sources, deal teams, and internal reporting tools
  • Document the elements of review for each conflict check in the CRG's proprietary database

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in the financial or legal sectors supporting Investment Banking or Corporate Finance
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to process and analyze high volumes of information
  • Commercial savviness with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential situations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with a wide group of professionals at different levels of seniority
  • Ability to work in close coordination with others as part of a global team
