Divisional Finance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Financial Controller to join our team at Accountable Recruitment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading the financial operations of our division, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to drive business growth.
The RoleAs a Divisional Financial Controller, you will have full ownership of the division's finances, including managing project costs, overseeing accounts, and ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. You will also be responsible for recruiting and leading a new finance team, developing financial plans, and implementing strong financial controls to safeguard the business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring smooth daily operations and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- Take full control of financial accounts, including preparation through to audit, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Present financial information to the board on a monthly basis, providing clear and concise insights into the division's financial performance.
- Oversee project cost management, ensuring accurate tracking and financial reporting on all construction projects.
- Implement strong financial controls to safeguard the business and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Commercial Directors to provide clear financial insights, helping to drive profitability and growth.
- Act as the key contact for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audit completion.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the construction or infrastructure-related industries.
- Strong knowledge of project cost management and a firm understanding of financial reporting and audits.
- Experience in leading a finance team, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) are highly desirable.
