Divisional Finance Director

Are you a seasoned Financial Controller looking to take on a new challenge in a fast-paced construction environment?
About the RoleWe're seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function and drive financial excellence in our division. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for managing our financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
You'll work closely with our Commercial Directors to provide strategic financial insights and drive business growth. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage our finance team, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Take full ownership of our financial accounts, including preparation through to audit, and ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Oversee project cost management, ensuring accurate tracking and financial reporting on all construction projects.
- Present financial information to our board on a monthly basis, providing clear and concise insights into our financial performance.
- Implement strong financial controls to safeguard our business and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Work closely with our Commercial Directors to provide strategic financial insights and drive business growth.
- Act as the key contact for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audit completion.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the construction or infrastructure-related industries.
- Strong knowledge of project cost management and a firm understanding of financial reporting and audits.
- Experience in leading a finance team, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) are highly desirable.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously and influence key stakeholders.
