Job Title: SEN Specialist 1:1 Tutor

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist 1:1 Tutor to provide high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs in the East of England, Essex, Tilbury area.

Job Type:

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

Salary:

£20 - £30 per hour, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 tutoring to students with SEN, creating individualised learning plans tailored to their needs.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Experience with specific SEN conditions such as Autism or Dyslexia
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily working in learners' home settings
  • May require travel to different locations within the East of England
