Financial Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to enhance our Financial Planning & Analysis capabilities and ensure the integrity of our financial statements. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate development, particularly in Letting Accounts, and possess strong Excel skills. This role is suited for someone who is eager to learn, grow within the company, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain Financial Planning & Analysis capability to track and report on financial performance.
- Produce annual financial statements and accounts, ensuring compliance with financial practices and achieving a clean audit report.
- Manage Profit and Loss reporting on actuals and handle VAT Returns.
- Produce consolidated Monthly Management Accounts.
- Maintain weekly Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including cash and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring them continuously.
- Assist with Payroll processes and address HMRC queries.
- Continuously improve and maintain end-to-end financial processes.
- Ensure tenant payment details comply with the Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme.
- Manage deposit returns and process relevant payments as required.
- Monitor outstanding rent amounts and chase rent arrears.
- Investigate and resolve lettings accounts queries.
- Handle new tenancy details and financial transactions.
- Experience in Real Estate development, particularly Letting Accounts, is desirable.
- Strong Excel skills for data manipulation, reports, graphs/charts, and business cases.
- Proficiency in using financial systems, knowledge of Xero is advantageous.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the company.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
