Centre Operations Manager

About the Role:
The Change Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Centre Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our Charity Headquarters and administration systems. As the primary point of contact for staff and stakeholders, you will be responsible for promoting positive and professional relations with all parties dealing with the charity and the cricket centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the office and centre bookings, including being a designated key holder and welcoming visitors to the Centre.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Centre, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements, as well as managing all Centre staff (including cleaning, grounds, and event staff).
- Play an active part in the annual audit and produce information and evidence as required to support the Head of Finance by processing expenses, supplier invoices, and raising invoices on Xero.
- Ensure governance requirements are met as set out by Charity Commission and Companies House statues.
- Process online banking and reconcile takings.
- Assist the Head of Finance with HR duties (DBS, monthly payroll, contracts, starters, and leavers, etc).
- Support Trustee meetings by taking minutes quarterly.
- Oversee the running of the indoor cricket school by checking bookings, managing casual staff who work out of hours.
- Support the hire or use of the centre and set up tea and coffee making facilities as required and clear up after use.
- Ensure all rooms in the Cricket Centre are kept clean and tidy and report and deal with any issues, such as dealing with non-collections of refuse, blocked drains, or damages to the buildings, fences, or grounds, burglar alarm, etc.
- Manage all other office requirements, including the post daily, opening the post, and dealing or filing accordingly, and purchasing subsistence items for the Centre.
- Be a fire Marshall and first aider.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with previous experience of working within a charity or similar role, knowledge of bookkeeping/Xero, excellent communication and organization skills, first-rate customer service skills, excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, self-motivation, and the ability to use own initiative. The ability to multi-task and work under pressure is also essential. Previous experience of booking and managing events is desirable.

- Up to £32,000 per annum
