About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid Specialist to join our team at Empro, a leading Grounds Maintenance business based in Northampton. As a Bid Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bid processes, collaborating with our franchisees, and efficiently handling various tasks under strict time constraints to fulfill tender submission needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Content Creation: Generate tailored proposal content meeting client requirements, showcasing our expertise and capabilities in the Grounds Maintenance industry.
  • Administration Duties: Assist with administration tasks as part of the bid process, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our team and clients.
  • Content Management: Manage and update content and templates in our tender library, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all proposals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with our franchisees and internal teams to gather feedback and insights, and communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Proposal Review and Editing: Review and edit existing proposal materials to enhance bid quality, ensuring that our proposals are well-structured, concise, and effective in showcasing our value proposition.
  • Industry Research and Development: Stay updated on industry trends and developments, and continuously seek high-quality input from internal and external sources to improve our proposal content and processes.
  • Team Support and Mentorship: Provide support and mentorship to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from both successful and unsuccessful tenders to enhance future bids, and implement process improvements to optimize our proposal development and submission processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of writing experience, preferably in the Grounds Maintenance or facilities management industry.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and multitasking skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Behaviours: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, open to collaboration, and possesses a positive, can-do attitude and full of energy.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of £35,000 to £50,000, and the flexibility of remote work, with three days spent on-site and two days working from a remote location.
