We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Specialist to join our team at Empro, a leading Grounds Maintenance business based in the UK. As a Bid Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bid processes, collaborating with our franchisees, and crafting exceptional written tender documents for various contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Content Creation: Generate tailored proposal content that meets client requirements, showcasing our company's expertise and capabilities.
  • Administration and Coordination: Manage administration duties as part of the bid process, ensuring timely submission of proposals.
  • Email and Inbox Management: Manage email inboxes and respond to queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Tender Response Writing: Author responses for tenders, aligning with evaluation criteria or industry best practices when necessary.
  • Bid Quality Enhancement: Review and edit existing materials to enhance bid quality and ensure consistency with our company's brand and messaging.
  • Proposal Improvement: Continuously seek high-quality input from internal and external sources to improve proposal content and increase our chances of success.
  • Franchise Support: Assist the franchise network by arranging initial meetings and site visits, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Case Studies and Testimonials: Develop case studies and testimonials showcasing Empro's success with clients, highlighting our company's expertise and capabilities.
  • Proposal Submission: Submit completed proposals to the Bid Manager on time, with issue escalation if needed.

  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from both successful and unsuccessful tenders to enhance future bids and improve our company's overall performance.
  • Tender Library Management: Manage and update content and templates in the tender library, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Industry Trends and Developments: Stay updated on industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to improve our company's bid processes and proposal content.
Requirements
  • Experience: Grounds maintenance or facilities management experience preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of writing experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong attention to detail and communication, effective multitasking and time management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

What We Offer

We offer an annual salary in the range of £35,000 to £50,000, with the flexibility of remote work, including three days spent on-site and two days working from a remote location.
