Job Description

We are excited to present an opportunity for a skilled Bid Writer to join our team at Empro, a leading Grounds Maintenance business based in the UK. As a Bid Writer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bid processes, collaborating with our franchisees, and efficiently handling various tasks under strict time constraints to fulfill tender submission needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop tailored proposal content meeting client requirements and exceeding their expectations.
  • Manage administration duties as part of the bid process, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather high-quality input for proposal improvement.
  • Author responses for tenders, aligning with evaluation criteria and industry best practices.
  • Enhance bid quality by reviewing and editing existing materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Assist the franchise network by arranging initial meetings and site visits, fostering strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • Develop case studies and testimonials showcasing Empro's success with clients, highlighting our expertise and capabilities.
  • Submit completed proposals to the Bid Manager on time, with issue escalation if needed, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing risks.
  • Provide support and mentorship to team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Gather feedback from both successful and unsuccessful tenders to enhance future bids, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Manage and update content and templates in the tender library, ensuring easy access and efficient use.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments, applying knowledge to drive business growth and success.
  • Perform any reasonable task within your capabilities, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety practices, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.

**Requirements:**

  • Grounds maintenance or facilities management experience preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of writing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Previous office environment experience, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Skills & Knowledge:**

  • Strong at competitive tender content creation, with excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Effective multitasking and time management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

This excellent opportunity offers an annual salary in the range of £35,000 to £50,000 and includes the flexibility of remote work, with three days spent on-site and two days working from a remote location.
