Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences – Department of Computer Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading or participating in research activity in their area of expertise, writing and submitting grant proposals, and securing research funding as a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality research and publish findings in top-level journals and conferences.
  • Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and postdoctoral researchers.
  • Teach undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level courses.
  • Lead new teaching initiatives to enhance current provision.
  • Participate in academic leadership positions, such as being course leader or programme leader.
Requirements
  • A PhD in computer science or a closely related field.
  • Enthusiasm and ambition to contribute to a world-class academic community.
  • A track record of teaching well and enthusiastically.
  • The skills to supervise undergraduate and MSc projects.
