The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of academics and professionals to develop and deliver innovative teaching and learning experiences in Urban Data Science and Sustainability. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our postgraduate programmes and work closely with colleagues across the University of Edinburgh.

Your Skills and Attributes
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field for the post
  • Demonstrable experience in teaching and assessing degree-level student work in Urban Data Science and Sustainability, or a cognate discipline
  • Ability to plan and organise the delivery of effective learning and teaching of Urban Data Science and Sustainability in complex academic frameworks
  • Ability to work as part of a team in delivering courses in Urban Data Science and Sustainability across a number of degree programmes, covering topics that primarily complement existing staff expertise
  • Ability to communicate and review complex issues pertaining to data, infrastructure and sustainability in society, culture and environment

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and learning, and will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and assessment in Urban Data Science and Sustainability. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
