Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Worker to join our Specialist Eating Disorder Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver person-centered care and support.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each service user.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including risk assessments, to identify areas of need and develop strategies for support.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to service users and their families, promoting empowerment and independence.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring open and honest communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the team's goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with a strong background in mental health and eating disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Mental Health Act and the Care Act.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality care and support.
