We are seeking a highly organized and empathetic Ward Clerk to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Maternity Unit, you will provide administrative support to our clinical teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clerical support to our clinical teams, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist with reception duties, including answering phone calls and responding to queries.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- GCSE Level or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Computer literacy skills to RSA2, NVQ 2 or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
