We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Ward Clerk to join our team at Scarborough Hospital. As a key member of our Maternity Unit, you will provide administrative support to our clinical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clerical support to our clinical team, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures.
- GCSE Level or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Computer literacy skills to RSA2, NVQ 2 or equivalent.
- Previous office/administrative experience in an NHS environment (desirable).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
