Midwife Bank Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Midwife to join our Bank team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families. As a Bank Midwife, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient-focused care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in patient care, acting in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct.
- Undertake duties on different wards/departments as required by service demands, demonstrating personal responsibility for compliance with policies and procedures.
- Registered Midwife at Degree/Diploma Level
- Evidence of continuous planned professional development
- Minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience as a midwife
- Experience of providing care to low-risk women in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal period, and in supporting high-risk women
As a Bank Midwife, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including maternity units and other departments. You will receive a comprehensive induction and access to the maternity in-house training programme. We also offer flexible working arrangements and a competitive rate of pay.
Please note that all workers on a bank contract are required to meet a minimum number of hours in order to keep their bank contract active. The current requirements are 45 hours worked in a six-month period, which is an average of one shift per month.
