Position Overview

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and skilled nursing professionals to become part of our Nursing Bank.

This role offers the chance to enhance and broaden your expertise across various clinical settings, with opportunities to work within our hospitals and community teams.

Candidates must possess a valid NMC registration to be eligible for this position.

Please be aware that all personnel on a bank contract are required to fulfill a minimum number of hours to maintain their contract status. The current requirement is 45 hours within a six-month timeframe, averaging one shift per month.

Note that this position may close earlier than initially indicated due to the volume of applications received.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold a high standard of patient-centered care in alignment with the policies and procedures of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Engage with patients and their families to provide essential information.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships among all staff involved in patient care.
  • Adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct.
  • Perform duties across various wards and departments as required by service needs.
  • Take personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
