Sales Development Manager

Our client is a leading distributor of electrical and lighting products, and we are seeking an experienced Area Manager Electrical Wholesale to join their team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy to meet business objectives and sales forecasts within the trade channel.
The role involves accurately forecasting and planning sales activity, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and meet targets.
A good blend of account management and new business development is required.
As an Area Manager Electrical Wholesale, you will work independently but as part of a larger team.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between £35,000 and £45,000 per annum, plus a bonus circa £10,000.
Benefits include a hybrid company car and company benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field sales position selling a wide range of manufactured and distributed electrical and lighting products.
- Selling to national and independent electrical wholesalers and electrical contractors.
- Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet business objectives and sales forecasts within the trade channel.
- Accurately forecast and plan sales activity, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and meet targets.
- Good blend of account management and new business development.
Requirements:
- Must have electrical sales experience selling to wholesalers and electrical contractors.
- Must be commercially astute.
- Must be driven and self-motivated.
- Personable, team player, people person, driven and enthusiastic.
