The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Legal Accounts Assistant to support the Legal Accounts Manager/Team Leader in ensuring smooth operations and compliance with relevant rules and regulations, including SRA Accounts Rules. This role involves processing incoming post and disbursements accurately on a daily basis, assisting with bank reconciliations, and dealing directly with clients receiving payment by cash, credit card, or cheque.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming post and disbursements accurately on a daily basis.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, rectifying any discrepancies, and ensure payments requests, receipts, and transfers are posted to ledgers.
  • Deal directly with clients receiving payment by cash, credit card, or cheque.
  • Monitor shared mailboxes, responding efficiently and promptly to client requests.
  • Participate in month-end procedures, reporting as required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a legal finance department.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to balance competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering a professional service.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Salary and Benefits:

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus benefits package including 25 days annual leave, pension contribution, and healthcare cash plan.
