Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant to join Huntress on a permanent part-time basis. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in the financial management of our company.

  • Manage online banking transactions, notify clients and suppliers of funds received, and initiate bank transfers as necessary.
  • Assist colleagues with accounting-related queries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Stay up-to-date with SRA accounting rules and ensure compliance in all financial transactions.
  • Reconcile client and office bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Oversee supplier invoicing, managing payments and ensuring prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Communicate with clients to facilitate payment arrangements.
  • Allocate interest and movement of money within deposit accounts, optimizing returns for our clients.
  • Handle petty cash, maintaining accountability and ensuring proper authorization.
  • Process and assist with delivering client bills, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.

This is a part-time position requiring availability on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-5:15pm.

The role is based in Colchester and involves working in a fully office-based environment.

Salary: £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
