About the Role:

Challenge-trg Recruitment is seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our team at a leading food manufacturer. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Quality: Ensure all products meet the required quality standards by adhering to production plans and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with shift leaders and colleagues to achieve production targets and maintain a positive team dynamic.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain excellent hygiene and housekeeping standards in the production area.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet changing production demands.

Requirements:

  • Basic English Literacy and Numeracy Skills: Possess basic English literacy and numeracy skills (ESOL Entry Level 2).
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work well in a team and possess good communication skills.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Have a good understanding of health and safety and food hygiene practices.
  • Previous Experience: Previous factory experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Initiative and Flexibility: Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and flexibility in a fast-paced production environment.

Training and Development:

Full induction training is provided, and we also offer multi-skilled training on department-specific equipment and processes.

  • Shift Patterns: Work a variety of shifts, including 6pm-6am and 10pm-6am, with 4 days on and 4 days off.
