About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or Paramedic to join our team as a Bank Custody Nurse/Paramedic. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality care to individuals in custody.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals in custody, assessing fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illnesses or injuries, taking appropriate actions and referring onwards for more serious conditions.
  • Undertake forensic examinations of individuals in police care, recording and providing opinions on injuries and collecting DNA evidence as required.
  • Collect specimens as required under legislation and provide written statements as needed.
  • Attend courts or tribunals as required, following relevant training.
  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical records, assessing alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal, and identifying vulnerabilities and safeguarding pathways.
  • Administer medications through PGDs and PTPs, working in an environment focused on the highest clinical and quality standards.
