About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or Paramedic to join our team at HCRG Care Group, working on a bank shift basis in our custody healthcare service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals in police custody.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals in police custody, ensuring their fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illnesses or injuries, taking appropriate actions and referring onwards for more serious conditions.
  • Conduct forensic examinations of individuals in police custody, recording and documenting injuries and collecting DNA evidence as required.
  • Support the clinical governance agenda of the organization, ensuring the highest clinical and quality standards are maintained.
  • Administer medications through patient group directions (PGDs) and patient treatment protocols (PTPs).
