Homebirth Midwife

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Homebirth Midwife to join our dynamic team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Homebirth Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, woman-centred care to our diverse community.
Key Responsibilities- Work as a Band 6 Midwife in our homebirth team, providing continuity of care to women opting for home births.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to support women with various needs, promoting a holistic approach to midwifery care.
- Contribute to normalizing pregnancy and birth experiences, working towards enhancing both low and high-risk pregnancy care.
- Support women through various birthing options, engaging in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
- Registered Midwife with valid NMC pin.
- Completed preceptorship.
- Proficient in perineal suturing, IV drug administration, and cannulation.
- Experience in mentorship/SSSA.
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Community and Continuity of Carer (CoC) experience.
- Up-to-date mandatory CPD.
- Demonstrates compassion and sensitivity in providing care.
- Displays motivation and enthusiasm for homebirth practices.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
