Midwife Homebirth Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Homebirth Midwife to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our midwifery team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, woman-centred care to women choosing to give birth at home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver holistic, patient-centred care to women in their homes, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with women, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide continuity of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of midwifery-led care pathways, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal support.
Requirements:
- Registered Midwife with valid NMC pin.
- Completed preceptorship and mentorship/SSSA training.
- Competences in perineal suturing, IV drug administration, and cannulation.
- Valid driving license and ability to travel to homebirth locations.
