About the Role

Rpiusa is seeking a highly skilled Fire and Environmental Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Run project activities as agreed within the SHEF activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
  2. Health and Safety Training: Deliver general, non-accredited health and safety training as required, promoting a culture of safety awareness among employees.
  3. Collaboration and Support: Assist the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor in the delivery of their duties, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes safety and compliance.
  4. Inspections and Audits: Carry out scheduled and unscheduled inspections of work activities across a large geographical area, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Compliance and Reporting: Take appropriate action where any H&S management is failing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate records.
  6. Reporting and Communication: Write and/or contribute to the contract and business monthly H&S report, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  7. Operational Support: Assist operational managers where necessary in facilitating liaison, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across departments.
  8. Client Coordination: Attend coordination/cooperation meetings with clients, promoting a positive and professional image of Rpiusa.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent: Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in health and safety management.
  2. Environmental Qualification: Possess a NEBOSH Environmental Diploma/Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  3. Asbestos Management: Hold a P405 Asbestos Management qualification or equivalent.
  4. Fire Risk Assessment: Possess a Fire Risk Assessment accredited qualification (IOSH/BSC etc.).
  5. Professional Membership: Be a member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) or equivalent organization.
  6. Chartered Membership: Hold Chartered Member of IOSH or be working towards it.
  7. Auditor and Trainer: Possess recognized auditor and train the trainer qualifications.
  8. Accident Investigation: Have experience in accident investigation techniques.
Knowledge and Skills
  1. Communication and Presentation: Possess good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver training and reports effectively.
  2. Microsoft Office: Have a good level of skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. Driving License: Hold a full driving license.
  4. Environmental Management: Possess an environmental management qualification.
  5. MOD Experience: Have experience working on MOD establishments.
  6. BS 45001 Standard: Have experience operating to the BS 45001 standard.
  7. Meeting Chairmanship: Have experience chairing meetings.
