Residential Care Specialist for Children and Young People

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Care Specialist to join our team in Newcastle. As a Residential Care Specialist, you will create a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people, providing person-centred care and support.
Job DescriptionThis role involves creating a supportive atmosphere, encouraging daily activities, and fostering a sense of community. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a high standard of care.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred care and participate in daily activities.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and conduct regular safety checks.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the team and external parties.
- Prioritise teamwork by participating in meetings, training sessions, and contributing to a cohesive unit.
- Engage in continuous learning and best practices in childcare and youth support.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A valid DBS on the update service for children and adults.
- Experience working with specific conditions, such as Autism or SENMH.
- At least 6 months of experience in a residential or respite care setting with children and young people.
- A valid UK driving license.
