Volunteer Opportunity: Supporting Children and Young People

Vast Services: Investing in communities is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as volunteer activity assistants for children and young people. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver our Short Break Activity Sessions, providing disabled children with opportunities to participate in fun and inspiring leisure activities that promote their life skills and independence.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and a passion for working with children and young people. You will also need to be reliable, flexible, and able to commit to a minimum of 6 months. In return, we offer full training and support to ensure your success in this rewarding role.

As a volunteer activity assistant, your responsibilities will include assisting staff members in running the short break activity sessions, ensuring the safety of all children during the sessions, supporting staff members with planned activities, participating in setting up and helping with the setup and take down of activities, and communicating and working with the children to ensure they have a fun and engaging experience.

This role takes place on weekends only, and we estimate an annual salary of £12,500 based on a 20-hour commitment per month. If you are passionate about supporting children and young people, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
