Support Volunteers for Children and Young People

Vast Services, a company committed to investing in communities, is seeking experienced Leisure Activities Assistants to join its team.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to assist with Short Break Activity Sessions. As a Leisure Activities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enabling disabled children to participate in leisure activities, develop life skills, and gain independence.
Your key responsibilities will include assisting staff members with session planning and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and establishing positive relationships with participants. You will also be required to collaborate with staff to deliver planned activities and programmes, and participate in setting up and dismantling activity equipment.
Requirements for this role include a minimum 6-month commitment, working on weekends, and being over 18 years old.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with staff to plan and implement engaging activities for children
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all children during sessions
- Demonstrate a passion for supporting children with disabilities
- Build strong relationships with children to promote their participation and enjoyment
- Collaborate with staff to evaluate and improve session activities

Estimated salary: £10-14 per hour (dependent on location)
