Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in Tredegar. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and general support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist pupils in reaching their potential and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach to supporting pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience working or volunteering with children with SEN
  • Proactive work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Good understanding of special educational needs and ability to provide a range of support to pupils
  • Patient and understanding attitude, with a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
