Make a Difference as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in Tredegar. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive team, providing one-to-one and general support to pupils with additional needs. You will assist pupils in achieving their goals and ensure a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to pupils with SEN in the classroom
  • Assist pupils with their learning and development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for pupils
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working or volunteering with children with SEN
  • A proactive work ethic
  • A good understanding of special educational needs
  • The ability to provide a range of support to pupils
  • A patient and understanding attitude
  • The ability to work as part of a team
