Autism Spectrum Disorder Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pupil's academic and personal development.
About the RoleIn this role, you will work closely with the pupil, their family, and other educational professionals to ensure the pupil's emotional and educational needs are met. This includes providing tailored support to help the pupil manage social interactions and build positive relationships with their peers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support to a Year 5 pupil with ASD.
- Develop and implement strategies to support the pupil's academic and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to ensure the pupil's educational needs are met.
To be successful in this role, you will require a proven experience working with children with ASD or Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting. A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children in challenging environments is also essential.
