Job Description

As a seasoned Project Delivery Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects and programmes across the organisation. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with the established project management methodology.
  • Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that all projects are delivered with minimal risk.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and project team members.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with the organisation's governance framework, including compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
  • Contribute to the development of the organisation's project management strategy, ensuring that it is aligned with the organisation's overall business objectives.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in project management, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation, with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
