About the Position:

We are seeking a Behaviour Specialist Tutor to work with a Secondary student experiencing Emotional School-Based Avoidance (ESBA). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing behaviour and emotional difficulties in students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualised 1:1 tuition to build academic skills and manage emotional barriers to learning.
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based strategies to support the student in managing emotional difficulties and improving engagement with education.
  • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and external specialists to ensure a coordinated approach to the student's education and wellbeing.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience supporting students with SEN, particularly those experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavioural management techniques and approaches to support students with emotional challenges.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications, such as Psychology, Education, or Special Educational Needs.
