Job Title: Band 8c Head of Quality Governance

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the quality governance team at Barnet Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. As Head of Quality Governance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective system of working to ensure robust hospital quality governance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead a team of governance staff in managing patient safety, risk, compliance, and audit activities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the hospital's leadership team, providing expert guidance on quality governance and risk management.
  • Develop a culture of informed questioning, challenge, trend analysis, and assurance to drive continuous improvement.

Person Specification:
  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust's values and standards.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Evidence of further professional and personal development.
Experience:
  • Significant experience of leading a quality governance team in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of implementing quality governance initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to collate and analyze statistical and qualitative information for presentation to high-level groups.
  • Experience of working with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
