Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Psychology to lead our Psychology service at Burston House. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will provide regional oversight and on-call responsibility to ensure quality improvement and business development across three specialist Learning Disability and Autism services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement professional psychological practice and quality standards for the psychology department
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Director/Director of Services/Medical Director to drive excellence in patient experience and outcomes
  • Lead the development of individual formulations and psychological assessments
  • Support the delivery of behavioral and other psychological interventions for patients and service users
  • Provide psychologically informed guidance to reduce risks, aid recovery, and independence

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading psychology services in hospital and healthcare environments
  • Strong clinical governance knowledge and skills
  • Effective consultancy and line management abilities
  • Competence in managing clinical/organisational projects
