Job Summary

The Ned Careers is seeking a highly motivated and organized Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our members, guests, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food and ingredients for our chefs to ensure smooth cooking and serving of high-quality dishes
  • Work alongside other chefs on the sections, directly preparing food ready for service to guests
  • Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, protecting our guests and colleagues from any potential harm
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, tidy, and well-presented, ready to hand over to the next team of chefs
  • Support the next team of chefs by helping to prepare for the next service
  • Be flexible with your shift patterns to accommodate the varying hours of our kitchens

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience is an advantage, but not essential; we will provide training and support for the right candidate
  • High standards are essential to meet our customers' expectations
  • A calm demeanor and genuine passion for providing exceptional food are essential in our high-pressure kitchens
  • A desire to learn and progress is preferred, but not essential
