We are seeking a seasoned Metadata Product Development Manager to join our team in London, United Kingdom.

About the Role

This role will involve leading the development of metadata products at Bloomberg. You will work closely with strategic partners on large-scale programs (technical and operational) with enterprise-wide influence through effective data governance, cross-team organization, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

The estimated salary for this role is £90,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with strategic partners on large-scale programs (technical and operational) with enterprise-wide influence through effective data governance, cross-team organization, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead the development of metadata products at Bloomberg.
  • Establish close partnerships with Engineering and Product counterparts on priorities and implementation roadmaps.
  • Promote multi-dimensional (e.g. validity, completeness, and consistency) data quality initiatives within the inventories and identify resolution strategies.
  • Develop and lead individuals with diverse experience and expertise spanning across several functions and subject matter areas.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of Python (or equivalent) programming and experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL, graph, etc.).
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, able to thrive in a fast-changing environment to establish strong credibility with counterparts across the organization.
  • Exposure to metadata systems, data modeling, semantic technologies, linked data, and/or knowledge graphs.
