About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Metadata Analyst to join our team at Wellcome Collection, a global charitable foundation that supports science to build a healthier future for everyone. As a key member of our Collections Information team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of data from our current collections management system to our new infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile project, leveraging your expertise in data cleansing, conversion, and migration to drive business value and optimize collections management workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, and document data migration pathways
  • Cleanse and prepare existing collections data for migration into the new system
  • Develop and maintain data transformation scripts and workflows

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across our Collections & Digital department as well as our Digital & Technology team, collaborating to design and implement a best-in-class collections management system.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A strong background in metadata analysis and data transformation
  • Experience with data migration projects, including data cleansing, conversion, and quality assurance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
