Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Project Start Recruitment. As a Senior Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of electrical maintenance technicians and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and repair a range of electrical, mechanical plant, and equipment, including building services, in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while complying with our Company Health and Safety policy.
  • Team Management: Carry out management duties as detailed in the principal accountabilities, including providing on-site coaching to technicians and engineers within your team.
  • On-Call Coverage: Provide on-call cover to multiple sites and be part of the on-call rota.
  • Performance Improvement: Ensure underperformance on KPIs is understood within the teams and action plans are in place to improve performance.
  • Quality Control: Check the quality of PPMs conducted by DMTs and DMAs during site visits.

Management:

  • Support and Cover: Support the Hard Services Manager on technical, organizational, and people issues and provide cover for the Hard Services Manager during times of absence, holidays, and meetings.
  • Depot Programme: Carry out specified depot programme reviews on quality and Health & Safety and take action on non-compliances.
  • Help Desk: Deal promptly with all Help Desk calls and ensure that the issues are resolved effectively, escalating where necessary to the appropriate management level.
  • Reports and Monitoring: Complete and monitor all necessary reports on the performance of team members and take action on unsatisfactory performance.
  • Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment and selection process of FM engineering colleagues.

Training and Coaching:

  • Training Courses: Attend formal training courses with the aim of delivering training on to others within your team.
  • New Starter Training: Ensure that new starters have conducted all relevant training required before starting their on-call duties.
  • Training Needs: Work with the Technical Training Team and Managers to identify the training and coaching needs of new and existing engineers.
  • Coaching Activities: Report to the Hard Services Manager on coaching activities, training issues raised, training opportunities identified, and recommendations for new approaches as part of continual improvement.
  • Training Content: Assist in the review of technical training content ensuring that it is accurate, up to date with technology, and always relevant to the skill levels defined for the business.
  • Coaching Sessions: Follow the administration procedures of the training function to ensure that the correct facilities, equipment, and materials are available for coaching sessions, and on completion, all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Feedback and Recommendations: Provide accurate feedback on skill and knowledge gaps identified during coaching sessions or regional meetings and recommend corrective action.

Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of supervising a team within an electrical maintenance environment.
  • Certifications: City & Guilds/NVQ Electrical or Mechanical Installation (or equivalent), City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection), and CSCS/ECS Skill card – Supervisor Grade.

Benefits: In return, we are offering a total package of £40,034 per annum, including on-call every 1 in 4 weeks, travel time, access to pool car/van, health care, pension scheme, and 33 days annual leave.
