Chaplaincy Specialist

The Church of England is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chaplaincy Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the spiritual growth of children and young people in schools and colleges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and connect with educational chaplains to enhance their work and impact.
- Contribute to existing networks for chaplains and develop new ones to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Encourage and develop potential chaplains from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from marginalized communities.
- Inform and develop training programs for chaplains to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Recent experience as an educational chaplain, connected to a church, deanery, or diocese.
- Strategic leadership experience in an educational or diocesan role.
- Understanding of and passion for the aims and work of the Church of England.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and collaborate effectively.
Personal Attributes:
- A communicant member of the Church of England.
This is a permanent, 14-hour per week position. Interviews are expected to take place on a future date.
