Chaplaincy Specialist

The Church of England is seeking a Chaplaincy Specialist to support the spiritual growth of children and young people in schools and colleges. This role is key to the Church's aim to double the number of active disciples by 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and inform educational chaplains on best practices and resources.
- Develop and facilitate networks for chaplains to share knowledge and experiences.
- Encourage diversity within chaplaincy through coaching and encouragement of potential chaplains from under-represented groups.
- Support the development of new training programs for chaplains.
Requirements:
- Recent experience as an educational chaplain connected to a church, deanery, or diocese.
- Strategic leadership experience in an educational or diocesan role.
- Understanding of the Church's aims and work in educational chaplaincy.
- Passion for the value of chaplains in spiritual nurture.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Personal Attributes:
- A communicant member of the Church of England.
This is a permanent, 14 hour per week position. Interviews are expected to take place in October 2024.
