Job Title: Information, Advice & Support Service Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team in Cheshire West and Chester as an Information, Advice & Support Service Officer. This is a temporary fixed-term contract for two years.

This role requires someone with a caring nature, who can work with integrity, assertiveness, and calmness. You will be part of a dynamic team delivering an innovative service, working from home with occasional visits to the Council office.

About the Role:

Fully Agile: Workers work from a home base with occasional visits to a Council office. Many services and customers span across Cheshire West and Chester, requiring flexibility to work at any location.

You will inform and advise parents/carers and young people directly about special educational needs and disabilities. You will enable them to participate in identifying and reviewing their own/child's special education needs and provision offered.

You will empower Parents/Carers to self-advocate and have their voices heard. Your presentation skills will be required for workshops and training sessions. Database maintenance for service and customer/case management will also be your responsibility.

Requirements:

A current full driving license is required. The role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including Children's/Adults Barred List.

Estimated Salary:

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum.


Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be able to engage effectively with parents/carers and young people.

The estimated salary for this role is £30,375 per annum, reflecting the responsibilities and requirements outlined above. This figure is based on a range of factors, including the job's level, industry standards, and the cost of living in Cheshire West and Chester.
