Job Title: DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Scalian, a leading multinational engineering consultancy company. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations, specifically with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and YAML.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts using PowerShell, Python.
  • Spark and Power BI Deployments: Implementation, deployment, and maintenance of Spark jobs and Power BI deliveries.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance using system monitoring tools and best practices for infrastructure maintenance.
  • Cloud Security and Networking: Ensure high availability and scalability of cloud infrastructure and applications, and implement and maintain cloud security and networking practices to safeguard infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and applications, and work with version control and source code management tools to manage infrastructure changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions: Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, YAML, and other declarative infrastructure automation frameworks.
  • Scripting Languages: Solid experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python for automation and infrastructure management.
  • System Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with system monitoring tools and best practices for infrastructure health monitoring and maintenance.
  • Azure Security and Networking: Good understanding of Azure security, networking, and cloud operations.
  • Streaming Data Platforms: Knowledge of streaming data platform paradigms and technologies.
