About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Golang, Kotlin Developer to join our team at Dabster. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering large-scale software engineering tooling for our Global OTT platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Create and deliver high-quality software engineering tooling, leveraging your expertise in Golang and Kotlin.
  • Platform Design: Contribute to the software and infrastructure design of our purpose-built platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Code Quality: Write resilient code that is continuously tested, deployed, and run at scale in the cloud, on-premise, and across a wide range of streaming devices.
  • Team Collaboration: Be part of a self-organizing Agile team, actively contributing to the team's technical direction and improvement of its tools and processes.
  • Technical Leadership: Contribute to the improvement of overall software quality, help fellow team members, and drive the adoption of best practices.
  • Monitoring and Security: Update and improve data monitoring and alerting solutions in the department, ensuring the security of our client applications.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Strong experience working across the stack in JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies such as Kotlin and Go.
  • Team Upskilling: Experience in upskilling teams on Kotlin and Go is a plus.
  • Development Best Practices: Good understanding of development best practices, including pair programming, TDD, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • CI Tools and Testing Frameworks: Good understanding and working experience with CI tools (Jenkins, Concourse) and testing frameworks.
  • Alerting and Monitoring: Good understanding and working experience with alerting and monitoring KPIs through creation of dashboards for the applications developed.
  • Cloud Technologies: Industry experience working with Proof-of-Concept projects as well as with AWS or similar cloud technologies, building, deploying, and managing virtual resources.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ability and enthusiasm to push for new improvements across the code base, influence/learn from a large community of developers, and work closely with DevOps and SREs.
