Job Description:

At 4Recruitment Services, we are currently seeking an experienced Financial Budgeting Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

The Role:
As a Financial Budgeting Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Business Partners in the preparation of revenue and capital budgets, as well as budget monitoring information. You will provide financial advice and support to budget holders, including guidance on capital and revenue resources to aid in the preparation of bids for funding from external bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation related to specific service areas under your supervision.
• Prepare and contribute to formal reports to Cabinet and Committees, acting as the primary point of contact for financial support, advice, and guidance on the specific service area.
• Supervise the work of Finance Officers on a day-to-day basis and have oversight of the work of Finance Assistants.

Requirements:
• A recognized CCAB qualification (preferably CIPFA) and local authority experience are essential.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data and communicate results effectively to a selected audience.
• Ability to supervise a small team to deliver a quality and cost-effective financial service and build relationships with customers and teams.
• Knowledge of current local government finance systems and forthcoming changes is desirable.
• Familiarity with Dynamics D365 & CIVICA Financials would be an advantage.
